It is also important to use peppermint oil combined in another oil, cream, lotion, witch hazel, water or some other carrier. When used with a carrier it leaves a cooling sensation when spread on the skin. Some people are sensitive to the oil on the skin, so a small patch test would be good prior to using the combined oil. I used this InstaNatural Peppermint Oil in with my laundry to give a fresh, clean scent. Only a few drops were needed, which I placed in the bleach dispenser so it would be diffused. I used it in my hand soap dispenser, and a few drops in another hair conditioner. I also added about 1 eyedropper full to my vinegar and water cleaning solution. The vinegar did the cleaning, but the peppermint oil left a great scent everywhere. When I initially received the 4 oz. bottle I was having a slight headache.
