It is cruelty free. The Rosehip Oil comes from Chile and is bottled in the USA. To apply I simply place a few drops on my fingertips and gently pat onto my face. I have also used a cotton ball and a folded piece of tissue. It really helps hydrate my skin and ease any tightness due to dryness. I have also used it on scratches to fade their appearance after healing. In my shampoo and conditioner I've added 1 dropperful. This really hydrates and softens my hair and leaves it more manageable. I am impressed with how well it absorbs. It is not greasy or oily on the skin or hair. It has a very minimal scent. It also decreases the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles. I used it for all these uses and can say that this particular product works well without any other chemicals or strong scents. It even retains it's benefits after cleansing, keeping my skin soft, smooth and dewy. While your results may not be exactly like mine, I do recommend this product to improve skin, nail and hair appearance and texture.
