CushionCare Coccyx Cushion Helps to Relieve Pain in the Butt

Two years ago I broke my tailbone/coccyx. While it didn't hurt badly at the time, it never stopped hurting at least somewhat. I would sit and could feel the bone moving. The pain seemed to increase over time. Until I got this coccyx cushion. I didn't think it would make much of a difference, but after the first day I realized it made ALL of the difference. This type of cushion seeks to reduce/eliminate pain by allowing a person to set, but not be sitting on their coccyx. It is a horseshoe shape with the empty area being placed at the back of the chair. The tailbone/coccyx area then is over this empty area. This takes all pressure off this area. I have had a significant reduction in pain and I'm no longer feeling the bone move even when I sit in a different chair or couch. When using this cushion there are several very important changes to make. In a desk chair, the chair should be lowered by about 2 inches, so that the hips to knees are at a right angle to the calves to feet. This increases the comfort and support of the cushion. Also, in all cases, this cushion should not be used alone on any chair or couch that has slippery fabric. It is simple and easy to just put a cotton towel down on the slippery material and then put the cushion on top of the towel to keep the cushion from sliding. Persons with broader hips should take measurements to make sure your hips will fit on this cushion without much overlap. The cushion is very portable. It comes with an additional cover, so the first cover can be removed, washed and ready for the next change of cover. While your results may not be exactly like mine, I definitely recommend this cushion for your coccyx pain.

You can purchase this cushion from Amazon.com.
