I have learned that shea butter is one of the best ingredients in body and face creams, hair conditioners, and skin treatments. Shea Butter Wisdom's Organic, Raw, Unrefined Shea Butter is very pure, which means nothing is added to it and there is no chemical processing. Shea butter actually contains beneficial vitamins A, D, E, and F which combine to improve the hydration and healing of skin or scalp. I love to use shea butter in many of my "concoctions" to treat the skin, hair, nails and scalp. I have been very successful in using this Shea Butter because it is so pure and preservatives are not needed. One of my favorite recipes is what I call my Whipped Shea Butter Heal recipe, which is:

Prepare the Shea Butter by making sure it is at room temperature. This allows easy whipping. I do not advocate heating shea butter as that can cause graininess and separation.
Measure 4 oz. room temperature shea butter into a small bowl. Mash the shea butter with a fork. Add 2 Tablespoons of a base oil, such as olive oil, argan oil, or fractionated coconut oil. Continue to mash in this oil until the mixture is lightweight. Add 10 to 20 drops of essential oil, such as lemon, peppermint, cinnamon, lavender or even vanilla. For even more impact, you can add the oil from 1-2 vitamin E capsules. After each addition, continue to mash, then whip the butter. Add a pinch of mica pearlescent powder, such as ivory eyeshadow. This gives a pearlescent hue to the finished butter. Continue whipping the butter with the fork until it becomes very light and fluffy. Drop the butter into a container and it is ready to apply to the skin or use with any hair conditioner. This is my favorite body butter and it is great to apply to the legs or arms, especially during winter months when the skin can get dry and flakey. This body butter helps to hydrate, heal, and seal the moisture in the skin. I definitely recommend Shea Butter Wisdom's Organic Shea Butter for all skin, hair, nails and scalp treatment. Amara Organics Skin Balancing Facial Toner Refines and Refreshes

I have used a number of products from Amara Organics and have been pleased with all of them. This facial toner is no exception. It contains a number of organic and wildcrafted ingredients, along with witch hazel, aloe vera, neroli and glycolic acid. It has an earthy scent which disappears after it has dried. I spray it on a cotton ball or folded piece of tissue and gently wipe it over my face. It wipes on easily and absorbs quickly. I can tell right away that it is starting to do it's work as my skin feels much less tight and dry. It removes any stubborn makeup and I use it after cleansing. It is great to use under other creams, lotions, serums or even makeup. Even using it alone, it minimizes my pores, giving my face a smooth appearance and fine texture. It also softens my skin and fine lines and wrinkles are reduced. I use it at least twice a day. In the summer, in Louisiana, I sometimes use it up to 4 times a day to help my skin recover from the heat and environment. FineNaturals Premium Dark Organic Cocoa Is Strong and Flavorful

I love cocoa and chocolate. I was excited to compare the FineNaturals Dark Organic Cocoa with other cocoas that I drink. I found the flavor in this cocoa to be very rich, very strong, with a deep chocolate flavor. It is so flavorful that it could even be used and enjoyed without any sweetening. I compared the FineNaturals cocoa with another organic cocoa. Again, FineNaturals had a much stronger, deeper chocolate flavor. I finally compared it with a mass market cocoa. Beauty By Shea/Hydracentials Raw Organic Unfiltered Shea Butter Makes Beautiful Body Butters

I had not used raw shea butter before, but wanted to try my hand at some body butters. I found a number of recipes online and after reading them all decided to make one of my own. There are numerous questions about how to make a body butter. Most recipes say to melt the shea butter, but that could lead to graininess. I decided that I would just use room temperature raw shea butter and go from there. So this is the recipe I came up with:
4 oz. room temperature Beauty By Shea Raw Organic Unfiltered Shea Butter, mash this up in a bowl with a spoon
2 tablespoons base oil (I used fractionated coconut oil for this), mash this in
10-20 drops of essential oil, mash this in
Then break out those arm muscles and rapidly stir with a spoon until it starts to resemble whipped edible butter. This did not take long, perhaps a minute or two.

The result was perfection. I should have added a bit more essential oil, but the body butter was gorgeous. I put it into small containers. One of these I took to a friend who is recovering from surgery. Her skin had gotten so dry and flakey in the hospital and at home. I rubbed this body butter onto her skin and it immediately penetrated and I could see that it removed all the flakes and rehydrated the skin, without being greasy. I definitely recommend this Shea Butter from Beauty By Shea. I am a novice at making things like this and was so pleased that it worked perfectly the first time out, even though I had made up my own recipe. This Shea Butter is easy to measure and easy to work with. While your results may not be identical to mine (I think some body butters may be more difficult than others and may be affected by your weather, humidity, and temperature), I do believe you, too, can make your own body butter for a fraction of the cost of the "department store" brands.

New Radiance Naturals Professional Hyaluronic Acid Serum is a slightly rose scented, thick serum that glides on, spreads easily and absorbs quickly. Leven Rose Organic Jojoba Oil for Skin and Hair

Leven Rose Organic Jojoba Oil is a light and delicate oil. It is unscented and comes in an amber glass bottle, which protects against pollutants and oxidation from light. Best of all, it is 100% Organic. This is a rather dry oil, and it doesn't leave a greasy or oily residue. I wanted to try it in different situations to see how it worked for me. I added a few drops to my conditioner after shampooing and it left my hair soft and manageable. I rubbed it into my nails and cuticles. After cleansing I used it on my face. It removed the last bit of my makeup and absorbed readily into my skin. It showed immediate hydration and smoothed fine lines and wrinkles. I also used this to make a whipped body butter:
2 oz room temperature Raw Shea Butter, mashed, then add
1 T. Leven Rose Organic Jojoba Oil, mash again, then add
10 drops of Essential Oil, stir rapidly until it is all incorporated and forms a soft, whipped butter consistency. Use a small amount daily to revive dry skin. I made this for a friend who was recovering from surgery and rubbed it into her skin and it helped to rehydrate the skin and stop flaking and itching. She also said she planned to use it for her eczema patches.

Overall, I was impressed with this Jojoba Oil. It benefits hair, face, and skin all over. I love that it is Organic and unscented. It blends well with other ingredients to form body butters, hair conditioners, dry oils, and skin creams. In the morning, after cleansing, my skin remained soft and smooth. It also felt hydrated. With the wide range of ingredients, many beneficial effects remain after cleansing. Continued use helped to keep my neck and skin soft and dewy. While your results may not be exactly like mine, I do recommend this product for helping the neck and upper chest look softer, smoother and more youthful.

Each area was soothed and smoothed. Even after cleansing the softness remained. I do have some dark circles under my eyes and they seemed to diminish with continued use of this gel. The ingredients work together to encourage collagen production. Continued use appeared to improve the skin's texture and feel. Dryness was relieved. While I can't guarantee you will have results like mine, I definitely recommend this product for improving skin around the eyes and elsewhere. I also like that it is 75% organic as this seems safer for my skin. It is a high quality product with beneficial results.

The Product: I had heard of rosehip seed oil before, but I had never looked into what it did or even how to use it. Basically, rosehip seed oil contains many essential fatty acids and vitamins. It is an amber colored liquid. It is considered a "dry" oil, it easily absorbs into the skin and does not leave a greasy or tacky residue. It can be used full strength on the skin or mixed into creams, lotions, shampoos or conditioners. It is shown to be an effective moisturizer that penetrates deeply into the skin. It also is helpful to reduce scarring and sun damage. When using the Foxbrim Rosehip Seed Oil, a single pump is enough to cover the face and neck. I used it on my face, neck, hands and hair. It was very easy to lightly pat the oil on and gently smooth it. It did absorb quickly and completely. The scent is very mild and pleasant, reminding me of nuts. I also have some scars on my hands and arms from a very aggressive kitten I had recently adopted. I wanted to see how it would work on those. On my face, it absorbed and began to sooth and smooth my skin. It absorbed so well that I believe it can be used under makeup or multiple times per day. I really loved the softness of my skin after application. The softness remained even after cleansing. It left my skin feeling supple, smooth, and firm, moisturized, yet not greasy. I do have dry skin, so it might be slightly less absorbent for a person with oily skin. I saw that it actually did seem to reduce the fine lines and wrinkles on my face and hands. The Product: The product is a thick, slightly creamy gel. It spreads easily and absorbs quickly. Due to the nature of the container, you might get a bit too much product. Start with a small amount and gently rub into the skin at the area of cellulite. Immediately, I felt a soothing, cooling action. Due to the addition of menthol, and perhaps other fragrances, the product does have a strong smell. The smell diminishes somewhat once absorbed, however it would interfere with using other fragrances. It does indeed improve the appearance of the skin and area with cellulite, making it appear firmer and tighter. Since this is a topical application, continued use is needed to keep the effect. It is quick and easy to use on a regular basis. One interesting side benefit is that it seems to loosen and refresh tired and sore muscles. Perhaps this is an off-label use, but the effect was definitely present. It could even be used as a massage cream. I would recommend this product to reduce the appearance of cellulite. While this product won't remove your cellulite, it will make it less noticeable. Much of the product is organic and it doesn't have chemicals such as sulfates or parabens.
